16 Cases of Swine Virus (A H1N1) in the Philippines Now!

It was confirmed already by the Department of Health Officials that four new cases bringing the a total of 14 cases of Swine Virus or A (H1N1) virus in the Philippines today. Health Secretary Francisco Duque said the two include a 51 years old female and a 21 years old male both of whom arrived in Manila last May 26.
.
Let us all take the necessary precautions in order to avoid the said Swine Virus. Be vigilant and as much as possible avoid having trips or travels in other countries. The total number of cases might increase in the next few days but let us all pray that this contageous disease will stop already and vanish in our country.

Let us all be clean and protect our body with a lot of vitamins, have a great sleep in order to gain the needed strength of our body resistance.

Pacquiao KOs Hatton

People's champ Manny Pacquiao scored a sensational second round knock out victory over Ricky Hatton Saturday (Sunday in Manila), decking the Brit three times during their "Battle of East and West" superfight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao floored the Hitman twice in the first round before ending the fight with a hard left to the jaw that sent Hatton sprawling to the canvass. Referee Kenny Bayless looked at the unmoving Hatton and waved his hands to end the fight.
.
The fight ended 2 minutes, 59 seconds into the second round.
.
"I didn't realize it would be a short fight. That was my strategy, left hook and right hook, that was going to be the key to this fight. I expected my right hook to be dangerous for him," Pacquiao said in the post-fight interview.
.
The win is Pacquiao's 49th victory in 54 fights and garnered the Filipino champ Hatton's International Boxing Organization 140-lb crown as well as The Ring junior welterweight championship.

Lechon is Best Pork Ever! - TIME Magazine

The timing of giving worldwide concern over swine flu absolutely gives a bad impression and unsuitability but I could not resist in giving my full attention to this one. It also seems not even a possible outbreak of the said flu could stop TIME Magazine from saying that “LECHON”, a Philippine pork delicacy, is the Best Pork on its Best of Asia Lists of 2009.

They mention that Anthony Bourdain’s pronouncement that he had just eaten “The Best Pig, Ever” in Cebu has only cemented our national view that we make a pretty darned good roast pig. For the information of everybody, Bourdain is a celebrity TV chef and has a famous travel-food show “No Reservations”.

"Many viewers were as surprised by the hyperbole as by the country he situated it in. But not Filipinos, among whom the zenith of porky perfection is an indisputable fact. It was just a matter of time before the rest of the world found out," said TIME writer Lara Day on the magazine's write-up.

Day went on to describe how the delicious delicacy is prepared with a variety of stuffings and spices, and eventually cooked slowly over a coal-fire until it is golden brown and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. "You could call it the Platonic ideal of a pig, but it's doubtful if Plato, or even an entire faculty of philosophers, could have imagined anything so exquisite," she wrote.

Swine Virus Attacks

Napanood ko ang video na ito kanina sa TV Patrol. Sa kasalukuyan ay inalerto na ang Dept. of Health(DOH) natin pati na rin ang WHO (World Health Organization) ang mga otoridad hinggil sa kumakalat na sakit na ito na kumitil na ng maraming buhay sa Mexico at sa Amerika at para maiwasan na rin na makapasok ito sa Pilipinas. Sinabi rin na sa ngayon, ay wala pa naman ganitong kaso sa Pilipinas bagamat ang lahat ay pinapayuhan na maging malinis sa katawan at magingat upang hindi dapuan ng ganitong sakit.
